Silt fence fabrics are designed to intercept and retain sediment as it travels across exposed soils 

while allowing drainage. These are made of 100% UV stabilized PP fabric and effectively control the 

drainage of sediments in the river basins and other water reservoirs. 

Silt fences are widely used due to their low cost and simple design and effectiveness if installed and

maintained properly. Silt fences are good at trapping larger sized soil particles like sand and debris

but have very little affect on successfully trapping fine soils like clay.
